Packaging for takeaways
What you'll need
Takeaways typically need leak-resistant food containers, carrier bags, tape and labels they can reorder in bulk to keep the kitchen running.
Takeaways need food packaging that holds heat, resists leaks and travels well through delivery apps and collections. Consistency matters too, because you are reordering the same containers week after week.
Maximum Packaging supplies common food packaging lines online, and can quote for regular bulk orders. Specific formats or plastic-free ranges can be sourced through our UK supplier network so you can standardise on what works for your menu.

Common buyer questions
Is your food packaging food-safe and compostable?
Our food packaging is made for direct food contact (spec sheets on request). Compostable and recyclable options are available — the two aren't interchangeable.
Poly or paper mailing bags — which should I use?
Poly mailers are waterproof, lightest and cheapest; paper mailers are kerbside recyclable with a premium feel but less water resistance.
What's the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer labels?
Direct thermal prints with heat alone (no ribbon) and can fade; thermal transfer uses a ribbon for a durable, long-lasting print.
How do I set up regular trade supply?
Open a trade account for consistent pricing on the lines you reorder, or request a bulk quote for one-off volume. We hold some stock and source the rest to order.
